Longswamp Lions Club was founded on 17 February 1954. For 70 years we have been tirelessly serving those in need in Longswamp Township. With projects ranging from White Cane Days to donations of barbeque fireplaces, baseball fields and other fixtures in the Longswamp Park, the Longswamp Lions Club is committed to bringing the unparalleled services of Lions Clubs International to our community.
Our goal is to empower volunteers and partners to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen communities, and support those in need through humanitarian service and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding. We fulfill it every day, everywhere we serve.
Lions are changing the world! The impact of Lions International crosses borders and covers continents. With 1.4 million members supported by a global foundation, we are a force for good serving in nearly every corner of the world. We’re experts in kindness and equipped to serve when and where we’re needed most.
The Longswamp Lions Club has been a service organization since 1954, made up of members whose goals are centered on assisting our community, especially the hearing and visually impaired and providing assistance for other humanitarian needs. We encourage service-minded people to serve their community by taking an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. It is our desire to grow personally and professionally during our service.
When caring people join together and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together to make a lasting impact and change lives.
Our members come from all walks of life. We are caring community members who are ready to serve our community and the awesome people who call Longswamp township home.
